The mind is a muscle
The mind has the ability to grow or shrink dependent on the patterns you align it with. If you want to be more do more, then you have to become more. A man is what he thinketh. A great example of this is the school system, our minds have developed and transformed with the challenges it was delt.
If you want to lead a quality life, it’s imperative to have a quality mind. The mind being muscle simply means its trainable. Training is the concept of consistently working out a certain thing to achieve a certain goal, this is the art of repetition.
The mind is a prison
There are many ways to look at this, it’s a battle, its captivity etc. habits that have been formed overtime glues us to certain belief systems. Life challenges vary between people, often our environments dictate our circumstances, events and people around us and this in-turn elicits a reaction from us. To escape the mental prison we are in, we have to change our habits, our reaction to life, change our environments, change those we interact with and our circumstances will change.
Habits that don’t serve you are only there to control you. What controls you has you in a prison. You have to make a daily choice of the habits to cultivate, Repetition is crucial.
The mind is an antenna
What we often think about and feel is what we attract into our life. If I’m in a negative state of mind, I only invite circumstances and events that make me feel much worse. If I’m in a state of love and positivity I invite circumstances and events that make me feel better.
Developing a habit of positive productive thoughts and feelings that serve you, makes you more productive and creative. This filters out all the negative noise and you are able to manifest your dream life easier.
The game is compound interest, the more you do something, the more it becomes a part of you and over time you get a return on investment. This is not a 30 day challenge, this is a lifestyle.
The mind is a store
The mind keeps record of our beliefs, our thoughts and feelings towards those thoughts, our habits and desires. The good thing about a store is you can remove things and add new ones.
By now its already clear, the mind is something you work on daily. Everyday you have to decide what you believe in, the thoughts and feelings you entertain, the habits and desires to cultivate.
If you want your reality to change, you have to empty your store of the expired things and place fresh things on each shelf. This process is gradual but the daily commitment to change goes a long way.
Over time results will show in your wellbeing and circumstances.
The mind is programmable
Unknowingly we are all programmed by society belief systems, the news, social media, our schools and religious institutions and everyone and everything we interact with.
The self-awareness of programming is crucial to change.
If watching the news, social media makes me feel a certain way, then I should change what I consume. If my society, people I engage with are telling me things that are not beneficial, then I should change them.
Self-programming is the only way you can remedy the situation. Taking control over what the mind consumes is vital to a life of wellness. Forming daily habits on watching productive content, listening to people who only offer value and staying away from unnecessary interactions. Chose to live well every day.
The mind is a cruel master
Our minds are divided into two, the conscious mind and the sub-conscious mind. The conscious mind is the decision-making faculty, the natural master and the subconscious mind the habitual faculty, the natural servant. Unknowingly to most people the servant is the one playing the master role and this is why people feel trapped by their habits and tendencies. If the subconscious mind is now the master and no longer the servant, its can only do what its programmed to do and naturally that is to be habitual.
To remedy this is the acknowledgment that you have to be conscious of the decisions you make regardless of your habits. It’s the ability to command yourself and follow through.
Always remember that the conscious mind is the natural master, train yourself daily to be in control of yourself otherwise your subconscious mind will be in control of you and your experiences.
The mind is a dutiful servant
As seen, the subconscious mind is the natural servant. When you consistently impress good thoughts, emotions, desires and develop productive habits, the subconscious mind adapts to these ways of life and seeks to maintain that way of operation. Inversely when you impress negative thoughts, emotions, desires and develop self-destructive habits, the mind seeks to operate in that way.
The conscious mind is the master, and whenever you tell yourself to do certain things, you find yourself naturally following through, anytime you feel a resistance its because the subconscious mind is uncomfortable and is used to a different set of habits.
If you want to develop an autopilot approach to life, take the time to cultivate good habits. Compounding is the game, when the subconscious gets used to your new way of life, every time the conscious mind makes a decision to act, you end up following through seamlessly.
The mind is a Sea
This simply means the mind has access to a multitude of things, be careful what you choose to experience. A sea has all type of fish, some type of fish will eat you, some are food and some are poison choose wisely.
The mind is a blind intelligence
The habits you develop, the thoughts, emotions and desires you are aligned to leads to the mind storing it and being programmed by them. All these things form a blind intelligence that governs your life and shapes your future.
It is very important to be mindful of the infrastructure of my mind. Just as I’ve uncovered various aspects of the mind, the blind intelligence sums it all. Its what controls everything that happens in our life.
